Job Description:

During the Welding Apprenticeship you will learn how to weld plate and structural components to high standards of quality. This will involve the fabrication, construction or repair of fabricated plate, assemblies and structural components which are often used to fabricate larger components and assemblies.

Welders will weld to internationally recognized quality standards using a range of welding process, from Manual Metal Arc (MMA), Metal Inert Gas (MIG), Metal Active Gas (MAG),Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) and Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG).

Subject to a probationally period of 60 days.

Responsibilities:

  • Part Running
  • Part Procurement.
  • Shop Upkeep and Organization
  • On-going Welding, Safety and CAD Training
  • Reads and understands Nautilus Readiness Group PPE Policy.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices; turning off machines when not in use, disposing of waste properly, turning off gas, sweeping the area, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

Communication skills, Organization skills, Team working.

Experience working with Mac OSX and Microsoft Office.
